José Antonio is an experienced lawyer and is widely recognized as one of the country's leading litigators. In his professional practice he manages to combine almost three decades of practice, with strategic vision, and a continuous updating in legal knowledge, which has allowed him to develop in a multifaceted way in the various branches of commercial and civil litigation.
José Antonio has extensive experience in complex conflicts involving a plurality of matters -regulatory, constitutional, criminal, etc.-, either as coordinator or as head of civil and commercial matters, as well as in multi-jurisdictional litigation and commercial arbitration.
He has participated in cases of national interest (strategic litigation), some of which have set relevant precedents in the Federal Courts and especially in the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation.
He has become a strategic advisor to individuals and high-level companies when facing their most sensitive and complex disputes. His involvement in conflict prevention strategies, negotiations and mediations has been instrumental in resolving disputes outside of litigation, thus ensuring that his clients' business relationships with their counterparties continue to function successfully.
José Antonio develops in parallel an important pro bono work. He is currently Chairman of the Advisory Board of La Cana, Proyecto de Reinserción Social, A.C., an association that seeks to improve the living conditions of women deprived of their liberty, and to help them reincorporate into society through personalized follow-up and job placement.

- Represents an energy company in a dispute related to the interpretation of a hydrocarbon supply contract.
- In banking matters, it currently represents one of the two most important banks in the Mexican financial system, in terms of assets and number of clients, in bankruptcy proceedings, recovery actions in relevant credits and defense strategies.
- Advised an entity of the Mexican financial system in a potential arbitration related to the acquisition of a payment platform.
- He is also an attorney for the main chain of self-service stores in the country, in a class action promoted by the Federal Institute of Public Defense.
- It also represents one of the world's leading automakers in a product liability case.
- It is involved in a shareholding and family conflict in which one of the main gas distribution groups in Latin America is in dispute.
